Take a walk along Main Street: you will find yourself immersed in friendly, small-town charm, with a tempting array of shops and restaurants that compete for your interest. Lyons is home to the original Oskar Blues Grill and Brew and other favorites, such as Julie’s Thai Kitchen; Smokin’ Dave’s BBQ and Tap House; the Barking Dog Café, and MainStage Brewing Company, to name only a few– a variety of eateries sure to satisfy anyone’s appetite. Lyons’ shops offer everything from antique originals and handcrafted jewelry, to gifts and outdoor gear for any Colorado adventure. Lyons is also known for its historic Lyons Formation sandstone, which has been quarried since the 1880s. The Town’s first public building was the red sandstone schoolhouse, which has been preserved and stands today as the Lyons Redstone Museum. Many other historic buildings in Lyons feature this beautiful stone, and Lyons sandstone can be found in architecture throughout Colorado and the United States.
