Lyons Community Foundation Grant CycleOpens August 1, 2025
The Lyons Community Foundation (LCF) is thrilled to announce the 18th Annual Community Support Grant cycle for local, Lyons non-profit organizations. Apply for financial grants to support the projects that make a difference in our community. This year, LCF has $115,000 available. They’ve also increased the maximum grant award to $7,000. Applications open online August 1, 2025 and close September 5, 2025.
The LCF’s Community Support granting program focuses on their mission to improve the quality of life, build a culture of giving, and encourage positive change for the greater Lyons area. Eligible for grants are non-profit organizations in the greater Lyons area who have 501(c)3 status or a sponsoring organization with 501(c)3 status, government agencies, and schools. In 2024, Community Support Grants totaled $83,000 and were awarded to 25 projects including LEAF (Lyons Emergency Assistance Fund) and the Lyons food pantry, the Town of Lyons Parks and Recreation: Sandstone & Spring Concert Series and Parade of Lights, Lyons Arts and Humanities Commission, Lyons Fire Fund, Lyons Elementary School (LES), Lyons Valley Preschool, Lyons Booster Club, Lyons Pride, Lyons Backer Football Club Ltd, Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Simply Bee Conservation and Lyons Community Theater - to only name a few. None of this work would continue without the dedication, inspiration, hard work, and financial support of Lyons area citizens. Are you new to Lyons? Are you looking for opportunities to learn about the amazing projects led by local nonprofits? Are you in search of a way to give back to the community? If so, we welcome community members to apply to be on the Grants Review Committee. Commitment is two evenings in September (Sept 9th and 30th) and time to review applications. Applications to serve on the Grants Review Committee are available at lyonscf.org, and must be submitted by September 5. Need help writing your grant? They’ve got you covered! Attend a FREE grant writing workshop on August 7th at 5:30 pm at the Lyons Library. Together, let’s build a stronger Lyons!
