Garbage Kills Bears

Bears Are Back

Remove bird feeders, keep garbage secure and only put out on the morning of your garbage pick up

With the warm weather, bears are coming out, and they will start looking for food and getting into trash.

Taking precautions such as locking up trash and other potential food sources from bears is important to prevent them from becoming habitually reliant on these sources for food. Bears become more of a risk when they associate humans with a food source.

It is very important for us to protect these animals and protect the public, and that is the responsibility of our community. If you do not have a bear proof bin, wait until the morning to put out your trash.  Garbage kills bears.
