Hello Lyons,

Earlier tonight around dusk, the Boulder County Sheriff's office was notified of a suspicious person(s) in the open space near and above the Middle/Senior High School.

Multiple deputies responded to the incident in  Lyons. The Middle/Senior High School also sent an automated email to many in the district that the school was under a "secure status", which meant that no one could enter the school and external doors were locked.

As of 7:35 PM, we can report that the Boulder County Sheriff's Office has informed the Town that they have cleared the area and they feel that there is no threat to public safety.
