COVID Vaccine New Eligibility

Governor Polis shared more information last week on the next phase of COVID vaccinations. The State has begun to shift the focus toward vaccinating people in 1B.4
Phase 1B.4 includes the following and will be eligible starting this Friday, March 19
- people over 50
- people age 16-49 with one high risk condition
- various frontline essential worker groups
- student-facing higher education employees
- food/restaurant services
- manufacturing
- US postal service
- public transit and specialized transportation
- public health
- human service workers
- faith leaders
- direct care providers for Coloradans experiencing homelessness
- essential journalists
- and people who serve critical functions for local and state government
Last week, the Governor also announced that Colorado has now vaccinated 76% of people ages 70 and older!
Between phases 1B.3 and 1B.4 and together with those already eligible, there are 3.4 million people eligible for a vaccine which is more than half of the state’s population.
