Confluence Project, Waterline Tie-overs to Begin

Please note that beginning Monday, December 21, the Confluence Area Capital Improvement Project will begin tying old waterlines over to the new lines. The team does not anticipate any disconnections, though, it's advised to prepare for unexpected shut-offs, such as an extra water supply and backup power, if possible.

Snow and Ice Removal

Please remember that in accordance with the Lyons Municipal Code, property owners must remove snow or ice 24 hours after the last accretion. If sidewalks remain hazardous and unkept, the Town will mitigate and charges will be sent to the property owner.

Resilience & Capacity Building Initiative

BoCo Strong is accepting applications for Resilience Leaders, as part of the Community Resilience and Capacity Building Initiative. There will be 2-4 residents selected as leaders from each of the five participating communities, who will be supported in leading and engaging their communities in identifying, prioritizing and implementing projects that increase their community’s well-being. The deadline to apply is January 3, 2016.

Small Business Week Awards

The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Colorado District Office is now accepting nominations for its 2016 National Small Business Week Awards, including the annual Small Business Person of the Year. National Small Business Week is May 2-6. Nominations must be submitted by Monday, January 11, 2016.

Open Enrollment for Health Insurance

Boulder County has launched an outreach campaign targeting residents who currently do not have health insurance, to learn more about their options for coverage through Connect for Health Colorado - the state’s health insurance marketplace. Open enrollment lasts until January 31, 2016, for coverage that begins February 1.
