Lyons' annual River Run 5K - the official kick-off of the 2018 Good Old Days! Scenic Views through Town! Participant Souvenirs! Cash Prizes! Chipped Timed Race!
New to the 2018 Lyons River Run is the Doggie Dash! Bring your four-legged friend to one of the only dog friendly 5k race waves in Boulder County. All furry friends will receive race swag and compete for prizes.
This is a chipped timed race! Please pick up packet & bib number on race day by 7:30 a.m. near the start line along Sandstone Park. Cash prizes of $100 will be awarded to the overall fastest male and female runners, $75 for second fastest male and female,and $50 for the third fastest male and female. Other prizes will also be awarded for various categories following the race at the Raul Vasquez Community Stage, located in Sandstone Park.

Please note: Railroad Ave, 3rd Ave. and 4th Ave. will be closed to traffic during the race. The section of Railroad Ave. between 3rd Ave. and and 2nd Ave will reopen after the race; the section of Railroad between 3th Ave. and 4th Ave., and all of 4th Ave. will remain closed throughout the duration of Good Old Days events.
Bring the family! The Lyons River Run/Walk 5k starts at 8:00 a.m., at the lot in front of the Lyons Fire Station on Railroad Avenue (near Sandstone Park), and ends on the intersection of 4th Avenue and Broadway. The course begins down 2nd Avenue, and turns down Park Street to meet up with the Corridor Trail to McConnell Drive. Runners then turn left on McConnell Drive to the trail North of Lyons High School to run around the Dirt Jump Bike Park through the newly-opened Bohn Park. The final stretch leads down 4th Avenue to Evans, turning on 5th Ave to Park Street, and rounding the corner at 3rd Avenue back to Sandstone Park to complete the race.
